What are the benefits of using an Off-road rescue cart?
- Fast and safe Patient transportation.
- Allow two or three rescuers to safely and quickly do a job that would normally take a
dozen or more people to accomplish.
- The patient is safer riding in the cart than depending on rescuers to not drop them of
slip and fall with them.
- When patients are transported with the cart rescuers are less apt to receive back
related injuries and fall related injuries
- Cart operations should be performed at a slow steady pace, which is still faster than a
carry operation.
- A cart can be purchased for about a third of the cost of one helicopter response.
- Helicopters can not always fly and therefore are not always available.
- Landing zones are not always available near the patient location.
